Fort Moultrie is a historic monument located on Sullivan’s Island adjacent to the entrance to Charleston Harbor. Like Fort Sumter, this structure consists of turn-of-the-century gun batteries which are in need of protection from harsh maritime weather conditions.

The concrete structure required a reinforced system for ideal preservation. However, because of the irregular surface, our standard Poly-1 fabric was not suitable. We re-engineered the system to include a lighter weight fabric which would conform to the existing surface while not sacrificing performance.

After initially working with this site in 2000, Fort Sumter National Monument continues to be a valued customer of Preservation Products to this day!
