To patch these problem areas, use Poly-1 Stitch-Bonded Fabric and HP-1000 Elastomeric Roof Coating. Cut a piece of Poly-1 that will cover an area 3 inches larger than the damaged area. After preparing the area to receive the patch, apply HP-1000 to the area and embed the polyester into the wet coating and immediately apply additional coating to the top of the fabric to saturate completely. After drying, additional coats of Acrymax HP-1000 or HP5000 are applied to create a completely waterproof repair. 

AF-315 Acrymax Fibrated Acrylic Flashing Grade can be used as alternative to HP-1000 when embedding Poly-1 over certain problem areas. Also, because of its unique Kevlar ® fibers, AF-315 can in some cases be used as a standalone reinforcement to defects in the roof surface area.

In some situations a new piece of metal should be fastened over the problem area prior to application of HP-1000 and Poly-1 or AF-315.
