Proper surface preparation is one of the key ingredients to successful application of Acrymax coatings. All dirt, oils, or other foreign materials that will interfere with the adhesion must be removed. Power washing, when practical, is the recommended and most effective method for cleaning a roof surface. If power washing is not possible, a stiff brooming with water is also effective. TSP (available at local hardware stores) is effective for preparing painted surfaces when used as per their instructions. Other more environmentally responsible cleansers can also be used. If any chemical cleansers are used, thoroughly rinse the surface before Acrymax application.
